UNICAL Cancels 2025/2026 Post-UTME Aptitude Test – The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has announced the cancellation of the 2025/2026 Post-UTME aptitude test.
According to management, candidates will now be screened using their O-level results and JAMB scores, in line with the updated admission guidelines.
UNICAL explained that this new method will make the process more accessible, especially for candidates living far from Calabar, who would have faced challenges travelling for the test.
This change is also expected to speed up the admission process and reduce expenses for applicants.
All UTME and Direct Entry candidates who chose UNICAL as their first-choice institution and have already registered online for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME screening are advised to visit the nearest JAMB CBT centre to upload their O’level results.
The university will score all applicants based on their O’level grades using the official point tally system for the 2025/2026 admissions.
