The institution was formerly known as Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED).

On 7th March 2025, the Federal Government adopted TASUED as a federal university.

This decision was approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which marks the transition of TASUED from a state-owned institution to a federal university.

TASFUED Admission Requirements

1. TASFUED must be your first choice of institution on the JAMB CAPS portal.
2. You must have scored a minimum of 150 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
3. You must have at least five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in your O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
4. Your O’Level results must not be more than two sittings.
5. You must be at least 16 years old to be considered for TASFUED 2025 admission.
