• University of Calabar (UNICAL) has started uploading names of qualified candidates to the 2025/2026 Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) Portal.
• This list contains names of qualified UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates offered admission into various undergraduate programmes such as Law, Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Science, Accounting, etc.
• JAMB will only offer you admission after UNICAL has recommended your name on the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
• UNICAL admission outside the 2025 JAMB CAPS Portal is illegal

UNICAL Merit admission list is also known as UNICAL First Batch Admission list, and it contains the names of candidates with the highest JAMB and departmental aggregate score.

2. UNICAL  Second, Third Batch and Supplementary admission list 2025

UNICAL second, third, and supplementary admission lists contain names of candidates who:

• Did not upload their O’Level results early
• Did not meet UNICAL merit cut-off mark
• Were narrowly omitted during the first batch of admissions
• Have been offered admission through VC list

3. UNICAL VC admission list 2025/2026

During the 2025 JAMB Policy Meeting, JAMB stated that VC Admission list is illegal but still operational in Nigeria.

However, before any university can use the 10% exemption mode, it must first admit 90% of students through the standard admission process.

This means that UNICAL VC Admission List is usually the last to be released.

After accepting your 2025 UNICAL admission on JAMB CAPS portal and confirming your name on UNICAL undergraduate admission portal, here are the next important steps to take:

1. First, confirm your name on UNICAL 2025 JAMB Matriculation list
2. Proceed to pay UNICAL 2025 admission acceptance fee online or at designated banks.
3. Print and download your 2025 UNICAL and JAMB admission letter online
4. Secure an accommodation (Either pay for a bed space in the school hostel (if available) or get an off-campus accommodation early enough)
5. Get all 2025 UNICAL physical screening documents ready. These include: Original JAMB result slip, UNICAL Post UTME registration slip, Birth certificate or age declaration, Certificate of origin, Attestation or reference letters, JAMB/UNICAL admission letter.
6. Log in to UNICAL student portal to generate your fee payment invoice and pay your school fees either online or through the bank.
7. Visit your department and faculty for physical screening, and then proceed to register for first and second semester courses online.
8. Once your registration is complete, start attending lectures.
