The University of Calabar (UNICAL) Pre-degree is a one-year programme (similar to a foundation programme) designed for students with O-level results who wish to secure admission into the university.

It serves as a preparatory stage for students aiming to further their education at UNICAL.

• On the other hand, UNICAL Law Diploma is a two-year programme, after which successful students are offered direct admission into 200 level.
• It is important to note that JAMB is not a requirement for admission into UNICAL Pre-degree or Diploma programme.
• This means that with your O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent), you can apply and participate in either of the programmes.

• Through the UNICAL Pre-degree, JUPEB, or Diploma programmes, you can gain admission into the University of Calabar to study any course of your choice, including competitive ones.
• For instance, you can gain admission to study Law through UNICAL Diploma programme.
• Similarly, you can also gain admission to study Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, and other related courses through UNICAL JUPEB or Pre-degree programmes.

UNICAL Diploma and Pre-degree 2025 admission form is Fifteen Thousand Five Hundred Naira Only (N15,000) while the registration fee is Two Thousand Naira (N2,000).

2. Make a payment of N15,300 for the application form.
3. After a successful payment, you will receive your registration PIN.
4. Log in to the registration portal by entering your phone number and the PIN.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully to complete your registration form.
6. After submitting, print out your registration slip.
