1. AKSU has started uploading names of qualified candidates to the 2026/2027 Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
2. The uploading of AKSU admission list is done in batches. So far, admission list for Law, Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Science, and Accounting have been uploaded, and the process is still ongoing.
3. Please note that JAMB will only offer you admission after AKSU has recommended your name on JAMB CAPS Portal.
4. Any AKSU admission offered or accepted outside JAMB CAPS portal is illegal.

1. Go to AKSU admission checker portal at www.portal.jamb.gov.ng or aksu.edu.ng.

Types of Akwa Ibom State University Admission List

AKSU usually release five (5) admission lists, namely:

1. Merit Admission List
2. Second batch admission list
3. Third batch admission list
4. Supplementary Admission List and
5. VC admission list

1. AKSU First Batch Admission List

AKSU Merit admission list, also known as AKSU First Batch Admission list contains the names of candidates with the highest JAMB and Post UTME aggregate scores.

2. AKSU Second Batch Admission List

AKSU second, third, and supplementary admission lists contain the names of candidates who:

• Did not upload their O’Level results early
• Did not meet AKSU merit cut-off mark
• Narrowly omitted during the first batch of admission
• Have been offered admission through VC list

3. AKSU VC admission list

During the 2026 JAMB Policy Meeting, JAMB stated that VC Admission list is illegal but still operational in Nigeria.

However, before any university can use the 10% exemption mode, it must first admit 90% of students through the standard admission process.

This means that AKSU VC Admission List is usually the last to be released.

1. First, confirm your name on AKSU 2026 JAMB Matriculation list
2. Proceed to pay AKSU 2026 admission acceptance fee online or at designated banks.
3. Print and download your 2026 AKSU and JAMB admission letter online
4. Secure an accommodation (Either pay for a bed space in the school hostel (if available) or get an off-campus accommodation early enough)
